Hauz Khas Village

Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet up with a friend, who lives in Delhi and we spent a nice day shopping & chatting :). It’s great to have locals to tell you more about the city and many cool places to visit. We went to Hauz Khas Village and it’s definitely worth visiting. It’s full of amazing boutiques of designer wear, jewellery, clothing and unique pieces! But mostly people go there to spend time in cafes and restaurants and just have a good night, I learnt from my new friend ;). I wish I would have taken more pics from there but it was getting dark so maybe another time. And you can’t really form a picture in your head based on photos in India, as it’s the feeling you get here, not the sights or beautiful places :). Hauz Khas is like a maze full of tiny alleys and corners and you never know what awaits inside a small-looking boutique or restaurant.

We found this amazing little vintage shop, that had beautiful, upto 100 years old fabrics, sarees, shawls, dupattas and more with hand-beaded and -embroided details all over them. All made of silk and wool, the materials I really love! They are so much more affordable here than in the west. I found my own treasure in this vintage, black silk dupatta with green stone beading and embroidery <3. Dupatta is like scarf really.

Next time I will combine this dupatta in an outfit and show you how I wear it πŸ˜‰
