So I promised you guys an outfit with my new vintage silk dupatta. I found this unique piece in a vintage fabric boutique at Hauz Khas. I had to think about how to combine something so traditional and ethnic into my wardrobe. If I would mix this dupatta with other indian wear, the result would look funny on me, so I decided to put an outfit together using pieces that are both classic and traditional. With this beaded dupatta I needed something a bit fancier so I chose the black palazzo pants. Classic and fitted palazzos will always be chic. To let the dupatta have a leading role, I added a solid color of green as the top, and it complements the green beads on the dupatta.
I pulled this look together in just 15 minutes! Make-up, hair and outfit. When you have a vision, you don’t need hours to get ready. Planning is the key :). If I’m in a hurry, I will just put on minimal make-up with BB-cream base, some blusher and highlighter, mascara, and finally fill my eyebrows (because they are so fair you can barely see them). Then adding a colorful lipstick will complement the natural make-up if needed. A quickie bun is what I use every day basically. I just make a high ponytail and then put another silicone hairtie on my twisted bundle of hair. Super fast but glam ;).
