The Big Day

We just got engaged on Christmas Eve but we already have a date for our big indian wedding, and it’s 18th of April. The wedding is in Ludhiana, Punjab, in Rahul’s hometown. Lucky me, as I don’t have to worry about wedding planning that much as his family is taking care of everything :). We will keep the event small in indian standards (about 150 guests). I am a bit nervous though, a control freak that I am, that I basically have no idea what is coming up at the ceremony. Apparently the wedding day is a whole day event, from morning to evening. I am excited about the day and especially that it’s happening now (before my thirties ha). There will be no finnish traditions in this wedding, but I’m holding on to one: the bachelorette party. I will travel to Finland about 2 weeks before the wedding, yay!Β We have to make the marriage legal in Finland as well, because I’m marrying a foreigner in a foreign country.

But who cares about that, I know what I care about and it’s the bridal dress, makeup, hairdo, shoes, bag and jewellery! That’s why I have made a whole wedding section on my blog :). I will post about bridal look ideas and the things I like or find beautiful. Indian weddings are full of color and sparkle, which suits me very well. There will be some serious bling! And later on of course I will tell you all about the BIG DAY.
