Pamper Day with Himalaya Herbals

I’ve been in Delhi for over 2 months now and my beauty products from Finland have finished already. I’ve been familiarising myself with the local skincare products more, as there’s a good variety of natural beauty products here in India. Even sold in Finland, Himalaya Herbals is my favorite brand. They are made of 100% natural and safe ingredients collected from the foothills of the Himalayas (or so it says on their website). And they are super affordable! The Purifying Neem Pack (face mask) costs 1,75 euros here online at (online grocery shop).

At first I was a bit sceptical, like how can this cheap be good? Also I thought they would have really strong fragrances. But they actually smell really good, except for this Neem Face Pack, that has a pretty strong scent. I love that already the name of the package tells you which one is the main ingredient, like cocoa butter or neem or almond. I’ve been very happy with the Cocoa Butter Body Lotion and the Tea Tree Oil/Aloe Vera Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. I’m planning to get the Protein Hair Conditioner with Lotus and Chickpea soon, and The Gentle Hydrating Face Wash with Aloe Vera & Cucumber, and the Intensive Face Moisturising Lotion with Aloe Vera & Country Mallow too after my old ones run out.

I don’t use bar soap but my fiancee does (he’s kind of old school hehe). Bar soap is harsh and dries out my skin.

I just tried this Purifying Neem Pack today and it felt a bit too strong for my sensitive skin, so probably will pass that on to my fiancee and get the Refreshing Fruit Pack with Papaya and Apple instead. I also applied some avocado oil onto my hair and scalp before bathing. I’m not a big fan of beauty salons and spa treatments so I usually keep one day in a week for a quick facial and other beauty routines at home. We have this lovely bathing tub in our beautiful marble master bathroom ❤ and I usually bathe with lit candles (and preferably wine). It’s good to pamper yourself and it doesn’t really require money. Most facials and treatments can be made at home from basic ingredients. I just don’t have the patience to mix eggs and honey and apply that thing on my hair :D.

Bath Time!

This was a good day spent at home pampering and shopping online. I also got a parcel from mommy including finnish candy & chocolate, woollen socks, Cosmopolitan magazine in finnish, good old vitamins; zinc and multi vitamin B and my favorite filter coffee. I’ve been drinking some weird South Indian coffee my maid bought from somewhere on the street market, and it tastes just plain weird!

Happy almost Friday everyone! 🙂
