Earlier I promised to try and do my own bridal makeup before hand, so that if something goes horribly wrong, I would be able to create a pretty face for my wedding. But let’s hope nothing goes wrong! I’m using these 2 pics as inspiration.
I wanted to update my makeup kit, because I heard that I should have my own makeup with me (even though there will be a makeup artist). I have old eye shadows lying everywhere and nothing is truly the shade I want. I chose 4 perfect nude shades at Inglot and I got 1 shade for free! I love their Freedom System magnetized palettes, because they are handy, affordable and good quality. I also needed a great concealer for my undereye area. And I finally found the ultimate peach blush I’ve been looking for! Is it bad that my makeup cost more than my shoes or purse for the wedding?? 😀
Turns out, I really don’t have the skills to do that dark and clean smokey eye as in the pics, so I just did a more natural version. The base is the most important thing in bridal makeup. I don’t use primers at all and didn’t want to buy any, as I feel like they clog my pores. Anyways, a good base can last the whole wedding day with a quick fix in mid-way. Sometimes I tend to apply too much eyeshadow (as my eyes are so small and I try to bring them up more) so now I was being very careful not to go overboard. I do want more intense eyes in the actual bridal look though. I will add fake lashes for the wedding day but for this look I just left them out. Lashes are so important!
These pictures are really faded, the eyes look like I have nothing on them and the lipstick shade is actually a really bright peach color
For the lips I used MAC’s Sushi Kiss, which is super yummy! For the evening party I might add a more bright coral shade, as my evening dress is more colorful.
