House Hunting in Singapore

Finally we’re moving to Singapore in July. I have to say that I’m happy to leave Delhi behind. Even though Singapore is farther away from Europe, it’s very modern, cosmopolitan, clean & easy for foreigners to adjust to. Our goal during this trip was to find an apartment in a condominium. We were looking for condos in the West Coast area mainly and then some in the city. The lady who helped us was very good, as the first apartment we looked at, we ended up taking :D. She took us to the Reflections condo, and seeing that, we were practically sold. I just couldn’t get over the fact that it was right by the sea, people were jogging by the coastline :). In my mind, I was there already :D.

It’s apremium condo by the sea, near the harbour and yacht club. It has 2 pools, 2 jacuzzis, 2 tennis courts, a gym, a clubhouse and a minimarket. It’s located quite near the Vivo City and Harbourfront shopping malls, and there’s a shuttle bus transportation every half an hour from the condo to the mall. This is super convenient, as a car in Singapore is very expensive to have.

We looked at 6 apartments in this condo and ended up with a 3 bedroom gorgeous flat. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living space with open kitchen, another kitchen, laundry corner and a small storage room. Apparently in Asian culture it’s common to have a dry and a wet kitchen. So we have now a modern kitchen with an island and all the utilities, as well as another kitchen space with gas stove, dishwasher and a washer/drier, awesome! Together 140 squaremeters on the 7th floor (out of 42 floors!!). I just love the floor-to-ceiling big windows all over the apartment, and I love the green tropical scenery from the windows.
