3-Ingredient Homemade Shimmer Cream Blush – DIY

I have really searched all over for a cream blush of perfect shade and texture, haven’t found one! Either the shade is wrong, or then the texture is either too greasy or too dry. I figured that there must be an easy way of making one yourself. And there is 🙂

You need:

  • Old lipstick(s) of any shade you like
  • Oil (olive, avocado, jojoba or any other oil)
  • Shimmer makeup (cream/liquid texture) this is optional, if you don’t want shimmer on your cheeks
  • Metal spoon
  • Candle

Recipe:

  1. Cut the lipstick and melt it in a spoon over a lit candle
  2. When it’s melted, add little oil and shimmer in it
  3. Melt again and mix enough so that the texture is smooth
  4. Pour in a small jar/container and put in your freezer for half an hour

So easy and you can custom the shade according to your skin color! This works as lip tint too. Also, it’s a great way to recycle old lipsticks you no longer use and the ones that have dried up. We know how many of those we have, right ladies? 😉

I used these cute little travel jars I found in Daiso. But you can use any small lip balm/makeup container after washing it properly.
