Humidity hits your face like the first splash of water on the hot stones of sauna. And when the sun touches your face, the first drops of sweat gather on your upper lip. You can already feel the moisture on your back and the clothes start to cling on your body. That’s the best way to describe Singapore weather right now. But I wouldn’t change it for the world.
I like to walk the 20 minutes rather than take the shuttle bus to the nearby mall or metro station. I always choose the outdoor seats at a café or a restaurant instead of cold air conditioned indoors. When you don’t see the sun half of your life, you will want to see it, feel it and bathe in it. I still state weekly: “What a beautiful day outside”, like a typical Finn, because it’s a miracle every time the sun is out!
But you never know when the rain surprises you! It might be scorching sun outside but in a second heavy rain falls upon you. Just like on this saturday morning date with Kath.
Luckily the sun came out finally, because I was wearing my cold-shoulder sun dress of lovely burnt coral color.
Amazing photos taken by Mrs.Kathleen Godfroy.
