Booty-Boost Chia-Strawberry Smoothie with Fresh Mint

Feeling bleh?? That time of the month? Instead of reaching for the chocolate and Cheetos (yes I’m guilty!) try this boosting berry smoothie which is nourishing and gives you essential vitamins of those beautiful red berries.

Healthy Chia-Raspberry-mint smoothie recipe

This refreshing smoothie is great for a low-calorie afternoon snack. Chia seeds can keep your tummy full longer than just a regular fruit smoothie. Just remember to soak them in water for a while before eating. I always get hungry around 5-6pm and this keeps me full enough until dinner, so I won’t start to binge eat all kinds of bad stuff 😉

1 cup  strawberries

1 tsp soaked chia seeds

1/2 cup mint leaves

1 banana

2 tbsp plain yoghurt (click here for my homemade low-fat yoghurt recipe)

ice (& water if needed)

By the way, these crappy Australian strawberries were so bad that I had to make smoothie out of them :D. There is no berry as sweet as in Finland!!!
